Remembering Jasmine Lynn-EVENT on 9/24/10 Postponded Till further notice

Last year around this time I was sitting with my mom at a coffee shop and I saw the news story about Jasmine Lynn. A young promising, African American female who was shot and killed on the campus of Clark Atlanta. She was a student at Spelman, a star student with a high GPA majoring in Pre-Law and Psychology. I later learned that she had an interest in singing. Later that night when I got home I literally cried for hours and poured out the song “Grow” for Jasmine Lynn.

I’m still not sure why I was touched so deeply when I saw the story but I felt that there was more that I needed to do and with the blessing from Jasmine Lynn’s mother founded the Jasmine Lynn Fundraiser Tribute. The video below explains more.

Now, I’m in the process of changing the dynamics of the Jasmine Lynn Fundraiser Tribute and working towards getting several things in place that will help take the vision to the next level for next year’s event. As I continue to build this year I am remembering Jasmine and highlighting positive people in our community that are making a difference. On September 24th 8pm at London Bistro Lounge Atl, GA please come out and support a cause that’s truly worth it.
